Climbing

Good day friends,

I trust that this week has been one of great success for you all.

Today I find myself knowing that the greatest joy comes after overcoming a battle. Mental and physical battles. This week held a major learning experience for me. My integrity was questioned for the first time in a very long time and this made me exceptionally concerned.

For it to be questioned means that I placed myself in a compromising position and eventhough what was stated wasn't entirely true, my true character was not visible at all times. How many of you have felt like this before?! Did you ever feel that you would reach this point?! What did you decide to do about it?!

I've made the following decision... I've opted to stand firm in my beliefs and know that my God is bigger than any problem or obstacle in my way. True dependance upon the Lord has granted me the serenity to boldly face this obstacle and overcome it. That is true joy.

Friends I urge you to do the same and keep in mind the following:

"Those at the top of the mountain didn't fall there."

Read the above quote very carefully, rely fully on God and acknowledge that we cannot succeed on this earth without Him. In actual fact, we cease to exist without Him.

Until next time, You Have The World At Your Feet.

Stay blessed.

Called to battle, Destined to win!

Good day Friends,

Today's blog post is inspired by a sermon I heard... We are all called to battle but we are destined to win.

Each day we encounter a new challenge or difficult circumstance where we find it very hard to face. This is your battle... We as individuals have to realise that nothing on this entire earth comes without a price.

A price that needs to be paid for by us. It may not always be of monetary value but we have to be able to say that this is what I need to do in order to get it... Right?

WRONG!!!!!

Our Father in heaven has already paid for your sins in full with His life. There's no greater price than that. Though we are called to balled to fight the enemies in our lives our success is always guaranteed and we should endeavour to soldier on and do what is right and just. Fight the good fight of faith and always make sure you are in cahoots with God's plan for your life.

If you don't know what God's plan is for your life, I think it's time you do some soul searching and meditate on the words in the good book... THE BIBLE.

Once you find the answers and purpose for your life know that you are destined to win. We serve a God that makes the impossible, POSSIBLE! We are all going to succeed! You have to believe this with all your heart and know that victory is yours because of HIM.

Keep at it. You have to understand this:

"The devil can only delay you, not deny you, when God has ordained you for what you're destined for."

Until next time, You Have The World At Your Feet!

Stay Blessed.

The Best Things in Life are Free

Good day friends,

I'm sure each and every one of us has been through the phase where we focus on material possessions. Big houses, fancy cars, designer clothing and jewellery etc... All these material possessions costs a pretty little fortune. All that it generates is a status concept.

I pose the following questions just to create a little bit of thought...
  1. Have you ever come home are a long and gruelling day and all you wanted was to share a hug with a companion and feel their warmth?
  2. When you were delivered "good news", have you ever kept it to yourself or did you decide to share it with those close to you?
  3. If you were in a car accident and you were taken to hospital, would there be someone the hospital would be able to contact?
Life is all about developing relationships with one another. Sharing in joys, sadness, triumphs and shortfalls. Emotions are felt by us all but do we share them. When we do, we give others the permission to share theirs with us... That's what matters.

I'm not saying that having material possessions are bad. If you can afford them, then why not go out and buy them. All I'm saying is don't stand on people to get them and don't eliminate people once you have them.

The best things in life are actually free... the greatest of them all is love.
Share yours with those around you and make sure you appreciate those that didn't stand on you when you fell but rather offered their hand to lift you up.

Make the most of your time on earth. Live, Laugh, Love...

Until next time, You Have The World At Your Feet.

Stay Blessed,

Go For It

Good day friends,

The world around us is constantly changing. Technology is growing in leaps and bounds, the financial markets are fluctuating, the planets resources are either growing or depleting and corporate infrastructure is changing...

Are we dreaming bigger?! Are we going after our dreams?! Are any of us actually living out our dreams?! Were we bold enough to wake up this morning with a positive mindset?! What's stopping you from going after what you want in life?!

The famous American author Mark Twain wrote:
"The secret of getting ahead is getting started."

Pull yourself towards yourself or get out of your own way... Either way, make a decision to "GO FOR IT". Show that character and spirit that the Almighty has blessed you with, grind your teeth, dig a little deeper and set off on the journey of success.

I believe in each and every one of you, don't you think its about you do too???

Until next time, You Have The World At Your Feet!

Stay blessed.

Supernova

Hello good people,

Friday has arrived and for many the working week has drawn to a close. We get a chance to rest, rejuvenate our minds and bodies and plan for the next week.

When planning or setting goals, how high do we set the bar?! Are we actually challenging ourselves?! Are the goals we set, out of reach but never out of sight?! We should always aim to re-evaluate our goals on a regular basis to ensure that we keep improving as people.

Some of you may know what a "Supernova" is and some may not...

su·per·no·va
/ˈso͞opərˌnōvə/
Noun
A star that suddenly increases greatly in brightness because of a catastrophic explosion that ejects most of its mass.
We are all like "supernovas'" if you really come to think of it. Destined to be great. Potential beyond measure. Are we using all that we have to achieve or are we merely sitting back and waiting for that so called "Lucky break".
Well, have I got news for you... In life there are three types of people:
1. Those that make it happen
2. Those that watch it happen
3. Those that may never even know it happened

Which one are you?

Go after those dreams and keep raising the bar.
Be great.

Until next time, You Have The World At Your Feet.

Stay blessed,

Finding Strength

Good day friends,

I don't know about you'll but this has been a tough and trying week for me. Getting attacked from all angles... So bad that I actually questioned my ability for the first time in years. How many of you felt like this?! I had to keep reminding myself that I am a child of God and His grace protects me.

The joy of the Lord really is our strength... Pleasing Him above any other is what brings us that strength to endure and overcome. Doing what is right, what is honest, what is earnest...

When our hearts feel like they're shattering with pain just remember that its just weakness leaving your body. God has already placed bubble-wrap around you so no matter how many times you fall, you will never be broken.

Lift up those groggy heads, wear that smile, keep those feet moving and know that each step you take is for a greater purpose. As you do so, remember these words...

MATTHEW 7:7
"Ask and it shall be given unto you, Seek and ye shall find, Knock and the door will be opened unto you"

Let's round off this week on a high... Give 'em something to remember.

Until next time, You Have The World At Your Feet

Stay Blessed,

Praise

Good day friends,

I trust that the Mother's Day weekend went well.

Have you guys and gals ever seen the expression of someone in victory?! They're generally bouncing around with a pep in their step or dancing or laughing or simply in a cheerful mood. Now I ask, how many of these people do you see raising their hands to the heavens to thank God for all He has done in their lives?!

We so often get caught up in thinking that we did it all alone but we forget to realise that God walked with you every step of the way. When you began to stumble, He lifted you up... He already fought the battle for you, already overcame the obstacle for you, but do we take the time to give Him the glory or do we hog it all for ourselves...

Victory and success seems to change alot of people... We start becoming complacent, arrogant, egotistical and some may even feel invincible. This concerns me because there are many occasions when we chose to gloat or brag about things that we've achieved. The self praise you receive will be the only praise that you deserve. Heavenly praises and rewards take a back seat when arrogance takes over.

Always endeavour to hold morals and values close to your heart. Use them throughout life. You entered this world with absolutely nothing and that is exactly how you will leave it. Give all glory to God. He is the one who made things happen, not you. By doing this you will see the change around you... The influence you have on peoples lives will be far greater, as you aren't only achieving for yourself but to show society that it is possible for them to achieve what you have through God's intercession.

Remain humble. Praise God. Live by example.

Until next time, You Have The World At Your Feet.

Stay blessed,

Fabian Frank

A Mother

Good day friends,

We were all brought into this world by our mothers... A woman who carried us for 9months before we popped out. Some of us may have been over eager and came out earlier and others may have been stubborn and stayed a little longer but the fact remains that we would not have been born if it wasn't for our mothers.

We went on from infants, to teenagers and then to adults... She was there every step of the way. Some of us may not have a mother currently but I'm quite sure there's a woman in your life that plays that role. I've been truly blessed as I've had many motherly figures in my life. Bold, strong and powerful woman who stood by my side every step of the way. No matter where I was, what I did or didn't do, they were always there... In spirit, in heart and often in presence.

This Sunday is Mother's day. Take the time to show your mother, biological or not, that she means the world to you. Also, treat everyday as "Mother's Day" for we never know when that day will come when we will have to part ways for a moment.

As tears fill my eyes, I say:

"To all the mothers out there, may the Almighty bless and keep you safe. May his Grace protect you and may the Joy from above glisten your life. Thank you for all you have done, all that you do and all that you will do... You'll will always be the first woman we've ever loved.

To all the mothers that have passed on, we will meet again and relive the memories. Your values and lessons have kept us in good stead over the years and we know you're watching over us every single day. We love you.

Happy Mother's Day."

Until next time, You Have The World At Your Feet.

Stay Blessed,

Fabian Frank.

Graduation

Good evening my good friends,

Today's blog is inspired by tonight's sermon at our church's Ascension Day service.

Ascension day took place 40 days after Jesus rose from the tomb. He came back to earth for 40 days after He rose because He wanted to prove to the Disciples that He was alive and remind them of His teachings.

He left the earth on the 40th day and in parting He sent the Holy Spirit to remain with them until His return...

This was the graduation ceremony for the Disciples where they went from students to teachers. It was now their turn to live by example and show people of the world the right way to live. To Teach.

We as individuals need to make this decision as well... We learn things everyday. The "rights" and the "wrongs". The manner in which to carry ourselves. When have we actually chosen to live by this though?! Live by example and be a role model to those around you. Share your knowledge out of love with the people around you and do not do it to prove a point about how wise you are.

Don't just speak... Inspire!
Motivate people to be better, do better. We can only achieve this by being better ourselves. Practising what we preach.
It's about time we work towards graduating from the university that really matters, the university of LIFE!

The choice is yours... Are you going to be the difference or are you going to go through life having never lived?

Until next time, You Have The World At Your Feet!

Stay blessed,

Angels

Good evening my friends,

An angel is a spiritual being that performs the acts of God. Generally they are represented with wings. Have you seen an angel? Have you felt the presence of an angel? Do you believe in angels?

Lets flip this around a bit... wait for it... You, yes you, have the capacity to be an earthly angel!
Did you get that? You have the capacity to be an earthly angel. You wont have special wings to fly but you will have spiritual wings to soar!

When last have you done a good deed for someone? When someone did a good deed for you, did you thank them? Did you make it a point to try each day to perform an act of kindness?

Folks, when we do these things, we are serving God. You're planting seeds within people. You are honouring God. You are being an earthly angel. The spiritual angels then begin to record and file your deeds in the book of remembrance in heaven.

One day, when you are called to your heavenly home, you will be transformed from earthly angels into spiritual ones. Allow God to work into your lives while you are on earth so that you go on to grow in faith and see His power in your life. Take God out of that spiritual box we so often tend to confine Him to and release His greatness into every aspect of your lives.

Go out there and show the world what angels do...
Show them that you weren't just designed to fly but to soar above the clouds.
You were destined to reach heights you've never imagined.

Let it happen. Get out of your own way. Soar!!!

Until next time, You Have The World At Your Feet!

Stay blessed,

True Wealth

Good afternoon Friends,

Mahatma Gandhi once said:

"Seek not greater wealth, but simpler pleasure; not higher fortune, but deeper felicity.”
How often do we spend time chasing after things of monetary value and we overlook all that currently puts a smile on our faces?! We go after what society proclaims to be wealth instead of finding what really makes us happy. Are we not losing the essence of life?!

Would you remember the last deal you've signed or would you remember the look on an orphan's face as you shared a meal with him/her?! This is the true wealth of life. Wealth that no one can take away from you. Acts of random kindness is what will bring true joy to your life. It's not something that needs to be discussed with people, rather it is something that is done out of love.

When we do something out of love, it's magnitude is great and its after effect is humility. The true measure of a man or woman is not the amount of money they have in their bank accounts but rather what dwells in their heart.

When last did you take a look into your heart?! Have you put into action what you said you would?! Have you been the difference and found joy, rather than requesting for a difference in search of joy?!

Friends, I plead with you, make the most of this precious gift of life and positively influence the lives of others. We have one life to live, so live it!

So many of us have made the statement: "I would die for you!"
But when have we ever said: "I will live for you!"

Choose happiness! Choose Life!

Until next time, You Have The World At Your Feet!

Stay in Faith,

Fabian Frank

Mountains

Hello friends,

I trust that you all have had a pleasant weekend and have settled back into your routines.

Each day we face challenges, our own individual mountains to climb... For some it may be getting out of bed to get to work on time, for others they may be financial issues or other various problems that we need to find solutions for.

Take the shape of your average mountain, it is wide at the bottom and as you ascend its surface area grows smaller until you get to the summit. Like challenges, initially they seem so great and very difficult to overcome but once you begin to tackle the task at hand it tends to get easier as you climb. We make headway, and begin to grow.

The trick to climbing though is to equip yourself with the right tools. Surround yourself with the right people, those that have been there before. Learn from their experiences. Dive into their wisdom and collectively generate better solutions. Always remember there is no problem too great or too small for God. He is walking beside you every step of the way...

Hold on to your joy. Protect it. Embrace the climb. Learn from it. Get to the that summit. Shout His praises for you didn't get there alone.

Until next time, You Have The World At Your Feet.

Stay blessed.

Struggles into Triumph

Hello Friends,

We often find ourselves searching for reasons and answers as to why things happen instead of taking what has happened and using it to learn and grow as individuals.

Without struggles there would be no sign of strength. There would be no execution of will power, character or self belief. We would not find ourselves digging deep within ourselves or turning to God.

A wise person once said: "When what the world throws at you becomes too difficult for you to stand, KNEEL!"

Taking a knee and submitting to God is all that is required for you to feel instant peace. Peace so pure that it re-installs your confidence. Smiles get put on faces... Out of the darkness and into the light. All it takes is submission to our Maker. He created the Heavens and the Earth. He suffered so that you may live. We love Him because He first loved us.

It about time that we get real with who we really are and stop pretending to be something we are not. Place everything in God's hands and you will see God's hands in everything. Divine intervention catapults you further and faster. You are no longer a victim but rather a victor!

Friends, stand firm in faith. Don't be shaken. Be real and true. Let your lives be beautiful.

Until next time, You Have The World At Your Feet!

Stay blessed,

Fabian Frank
