Child-like Eyes

Good day Friends,

Today's post falls dearly upon my heart. Amidst the gloom of life's pain, I found clarity.

Have you ever sat back and watched an infant as he/she begins to move through surroundings?
Their eye's light up like a match in a dark room. Each and every object becomes a fascination. Something that they can learn about or even learn from.
They move grasping whatever their little hands can get hold of and very often placing it in their mouths to see if what they have is actually edible.

When last have you stopped whatever you were doing and taken a moment to look at the world with child-like eyes?
It's splendour and magnitude is absolutely incredible. The birds chirping, the wind caressing your face, the glare of the sun and as you take a deep breath, the air that fills your lungs... Wow! Watching the sunset over the ocean after a hot summer's day, or even the vast array of colours as the leaves fall in autumn... Wow!

The hustle and bustle of today's times generally distracts us from the things that really do matter in this life. Not everything is as it seems. The little things matter. These little gifts are of such importance because it is heaven sent. Appreciate and embrace them for we may not have them forever.

Upon doing so, you will find that ever illusive victory, THE VICTORY WITHIN!

Until next time, You Have The World At Your Feet!

Stay Blessed,

Names

Greetings friends,

As the end of April approaches and the first quarter of 2013 lapses, we as individuals analyse ourselves to determine how far we've come and where we are going...

I decided to go back to the very beginning and discuss the virtue of a concept we call a "name''.

The dictionary definition is quite simple really:
Noun
A word or set of words by which a person, animal, place, or thing is known, addressed, or referred to.

Each an every single one of us has a name. A name that was chosen by either a parent or a guardian that they thought best suited you. Some of us may not like our names or its origin or even its meaning. '

One thing we should always remember is that we are not defined by the names we carry but rather we are defined by the actions we take.
We may come from an abusive family history or even a poverty stricken backround but what we chose to do with our lives is all that matters.

Are you going to allow yourself to be bogged down by what your family, friends or even society says you are?
Will you allow the world to determine your destination in life?
What are you doing to re-write your future?

People so casually choose to simply sit back and say: ''Óh well, if it's meant to be, it'll happen!''

That to me is utter nonsense. You get what you work for not what you wait for. Yes being patient is one thing but that only comes into play when we've already implemented actions into our lives not whilst simply doing nothing.

Dwight Yorke (Manchester United Footballer) once said: "Always reach for the moon because if you never get there, you'll remain amongst the stars!"

Take your name and write it in and amongst the stars. Go after your goals and ambitions and don't grow weary for the fruits of your labour will come to pass. The Lord has promised this. His love for you is ever faithful and true.

Step it up a notch and the world will forever know your NAME!

Until next time, You Have The World At Your Feet!

Living Life to the Full

Hello friends,

How often is it that we find ourselves stranded on an emotional island with no help in sight??!! Our silence screams a million voices but no one can hear it... How many of us pass through life worrying and stressing instead of actually living??!!

I posed the above questions not for you to doubt your existence but rather to allow you to let your existence fulfil its actual purpose. Living life to the full doesn't necessarily mean we have to live lavish and extravagant lives but rather it means we should savour each moment for it is a precious undertaking.

Each passing second provides an opportunity for embrace to collide with purpose and for you to generate an understanding of importance. We all have dreams and aspirations but how many of us actually enjoy the process of going after them.

Micheal Jordan once said: "I've failed and failed and failed, this is why I succeed!"

A man with so many accolades openly admitting that though failure may come your way, through perseverance, will power and the aid of the Almighty, we can achieve anything.

The Bible says in Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

There's no ifs or buts... There's just guarantees!

Go after those goals and dreams and make sure you have fun doing it!

Do what you love and love what you do!

Until next time, You Have The World At Your Feet!

Be Grateful

Good day Friends,

Some of you may have seen the following on either my Facebook or Twitter accounts:

"In my younger years I often complained about the type of shoes I had... Until I saw a man with no feet! Appreciate what you have before it becomes what you've had!"

As humans we so often forget to thank God for all that we have, as we spend too much time focusing on what we don't have or what we would like to have.

You may not drive a fancy sports car, stay in a palace, fly around the world on your private jet, sail the seas on your boat or even dine at the world's finest restaurants but when you woke up this morning, you just had a rest on a bed, you had air in your lungs, you had a roof over your head, you had running water to either brush your teeth or have a bath, you had clothes to wear, a meal for breakfast and for many a job/school/college to go to...

These are simple gifts given to you by God, provided for each and everyday so that you do not have to go without necessities. Did you say thank you?
There are people who go to sleep at night not having even eaten all day. Did you share a portion of your meal with them?
If you see a young boy walking without shoes, would you give him a pair of yours?

We are stuck in a society where we are so self orientated that we forget to SEE what is actually going on... I don't know about you but for me, this is really a great concern.

Here's my challenge to you...
Thank God each day for the renewed mercies He has provided you with as there is always something to be grateful for, then go out and make it a habit of touching atleast one persons life. Even if you just share a smile. It may mean nothing to you but it could certainly mean the world to someone. Making the "invisible", VISIBLE!

Until next time, You Have The World At Your Feet!

Stay Blessed,

The Power Within You

Greetings friends,

As we're a couple of days into the week I felt the need to urge you on... Rev up that system... Get you to drop your gear and step on the gas.

Each and every single one of us has the ability to inflict change into our surroundings. A simple attitude adjustment, a peaceful gesture, an aiding hand or even a polite compliment will aid you in achieving your goals and dreams.

We were designed to make changes, positive changes that will ensure that today's hard labour will result in tomorrow's joy. The Almighty has given you all the strength that you will ever require. He has placed it within each and every one of you. The strength that takes you from discouraged to encouraging.

Very often we feel like quiting or giving up when things don't go our way... Soldier on I urge you and ensure that you remain true to the task at hand and don't forget that there is always someone watching. Success is a journey, not a destination. With each and every step you take, you are inevitably one step closer to achieving what your heart desires. Be bold and stand for what you believe in but I repeat, remain true to yourself. Being real may not earn you praises among the nations but it will certainly inflict change within the nations.

Keep your head down and your feet moving and I guarantee that when you decide to look around, you'll be amazed at your surroundings.

Stay in faith and remember, You Have The World At Your Feet.

Be Blessed,

Echoes

Good day friends,

Please forgive me for not putting a post up in a few days. I was away to play the role of a "Big Brother" at a wedding of a lady I call my "Sister". This post has been inspired by what went on.

7years ago a young man was in a car crash and past away. A tragic occurrence that left family and friends in turmoil. The words "Gone too soon" flashed like a caution sign at a major intersection. His prime still to be reached, dreams to be fulfilled and memories to be made all came to a sudden holt.

His presence could never be replaced this weekend but he was surely felt. His parents and younger sisters are such remarkable people, my eyes fill with tears as I type these words.
This blog will serve as a Tribute to Ismail Moolla.

Life is precious and what you do in this life will echo in eternity. Take the time to listen rather than speak, to give rather than receive, to serve rather than be served and to show love even when you aren't shown love.

If you have a relative you haven't spoken to in a while, make that call... If you have a friend you're fighting with, make that call... If you miss someone, make that call... If you love someone, make that call... Make that call and make things right. No matter how hard it may seem, always remember that material things will come and go but what you do and how you make people feel will forever echo in eternity.

"Be the change you would like to see in the world."

Until next time, You Have The World At Your Feet.

Stay blessed,

Too Determined To Be Defeated

Hello Friends,

Have you ever felt down with troubles and worries?
Has the situation you're in ever got the better of you?
Did you ever feel like giving up?

I think it's about time we cut out the negativity. There's no need to allow a circumstance to rob you of your joy. We were created in God's image and no matter what we do, His love for us will not be depleted.

You are where you are because of choices you have made, be it good or bad, embrace it and learn from it. Everything in this worldly life is temporary. Change is inevitable and we should take heart in knowing that we're on the brink of a breakthrough. A door will be opened from above that no man will ever shut for the footsteps of a man are ordained by the Lord.

Dig deep, draw strength from the Lord and know that your future is sealed with His stamp.
He loved us not for the people we are today but rather for the people He knows we can be.

I urge you, stay in faith, God's going to take you places you've never been before and I asure you that the greatness is far greater than you could ever conjure up. Remain humble in victory and always be active to help others who may be going through what you've already been through.

"Greatness is achieved on the brink of destruction."

Until next time, You Have The World At Your Feet!

Go get 'em ;-)

Humility

Hi Friends,

This touchy subject that most claim to be, in order to manipulate individuals, is somewhat blurred in today's world.

We often find that people profess their existence and character to hold this factor dearly however actions scream otherwise.
Could this be because they have insecurities or is it merely a concept that is used in denial.

What does it mean to truly be humble?

Last nights Youth Service "EDGE" @ The Trinity Methodist Church of Springs hit the nail on the head. Humility consists of the following factors:
1. Giving
2. Asking
3. Admitting
4. Surrendering

To give freely is to truly experience joy as you have the ability to change someones life. It doesn't necessarily have to be of monetary value, it can also be of your time. There are many needs to be fulfilled, are you taking the time to listen and not only make a difference but rather be the difference?

Asking for help doesn't mean that you are less of a person, it merely means that you acknowledge that you can't do everything by yourself. Pride often hinders ones progress and we stand in our own way of actually achieving greatness.

Admit to yourself that you are where you are today for a purpose and see the bigger picture as opposed the to stagnated here and now. Inflict the change within and it'll filter through your environment.

Surrendering to God all your worries, mistakes, pain, suppression, anger, hurt and shortfalls and you will instantly feel the power of the spirit fall upon you with perfect peace.

The world needs soldiers to lead but one can only lead once you have followed.
So I challenge you today to simply get out of your own way and allow your purpose to be fulfilled through discipline, love and faith.

Until next time, You Have The World At Your Feet.

Stay Blessed.

Simplicity

Hello good people,

The beauty part about life is viewing the world with childlike eyes... Absolute amazement where everything is not as it seems.

Doing the basics right and removing the unnecessary...Finding simplicity.
The simplification process is quite easy if you come to think about it. A general assessment of your life is required.

1.What's important to you?
2. What isn't important to you?
3. How should you go about appreciating and taking care of what is important?

"Time" is the most valuable commodity in today's world.
Life is short so why should we complicate it with matters and issues that we cannot control.
We are only accountable for our own actions and how people react is entirely up to them.

Remain true to yourself and take heed in kowing that what you do, good or bad, has a consequence.

Maximize your life and find solace through simplicity.

Until next time, You Have The World At Your Feet.

Be Blessed,

Fabian Frank

Family

Hello Good people,

The Oxford dictionary quite simply says:

"Definition of family

noun (plural families)

  • 1 [treated as singular or plural] a group consisting of two parents and their children living together as a unit"

Many of us tend to take family for granted... We fail to realize that although we may or may not like family members, they were placed in our lives for a reason.
The irritating Aunt, The ever drunk Uncle, The Bragging, The Poverty pleas, etc...
This can all become over-bearing at times, so much so that we decide to cut off family.

The word "Unit" in the definition above is what one should always aim to strive for when responding to a family member. No matter what they do or don't do, it is our responsibility to act out of love.
Endearment, care, compassion, humilty, peace, encouragement and zeal are only but a few actions that should take place irrespective the situation.

Give your best to the family you have, appreciate what you have, life is such that it can all be taken away from you in a heartbeat... Treasure them!

Until next time, You Have The World At Your Feet.

The Simple things matter most...

Good Morning Friends,

Upon arrival at work the morning, I stumbles accross an email that made so much sense, I had to summarize it and share it with you'll.

The title read: "10 Extraordinary things people say everyday"

1. "Here's what I was thinking"
2. "I was wrong"
3. "That was awesome"
4. "You are welcome"
5. "Can you help me"
6. "I'm sorry"
7. "Can you show me"
8."Let me give you a hand"
9. "I Love you"
10. "Nothing"

The little things in life matter the most. Without being aware of it, we make a positive investment into the lives of others and it doesn't cost a single cent.
Inspiring and motivating individuals in our work and office environments whilst granting them a sense of importance and value.
One can never truly measure the magnitude this holds but the outcome and results are astounding.

So I urge each of you to try it... If it doesn't work, you've lost nothing. However, if it does, you can only grow into success.

Until next time, always remember, You Have The World At Your Feet!

Best wishes,

Fabian Frank

A new week, A fresh start...

Good afternoon Friends,

Mondays... Oh how we all hate them. They're a reality check between a relaxed frame of mind and the ever hated "work-mode".

Nonetheless we have a chance to go after our dreams once again after bouncing back from a weekend of absolute bliss.

To some, it may be a chance to set the wrongs, right... To others it may be a chance to ease into the working week.
Either way we should aim to achieve greatness.

We were all created to make a positivedifferencein this world and we can do so by playing our little part in simple everyday situations.

May you find your reason that will set you on a journey of greatness.

Until next time, always remember, You have the world at your feet!

Best Regards,

Fabian Frank

Live for the moment

Good day World,

Embrace each passing moment of life... Good or bad.
It may not be as you've planned but it is exactly where you're meant to be at that very moment.
Start looking at that glass half full rather than half empty.
We all face challenges on a daily basis but the power of prayer is infinite.
Take a knee, send your requests to the heavens and I assure that God will provide you with instant peace.

**Stay in faith. God's going to take you to places you've never seen before!**

Until next time, always remember, You have the world at your feet!
