Faith it till you make it!

Good morning Family,

This morning I was privileged enough to read and hear a co-worker's testimony and I was deeply moved by it. His life was a rollercoaster of events that brought him to a point where he had the serious choice to make... "LIFE" OR "THE WORLD"???

That's a really hard decision to make when it comes down to it... Ultimately it also means life or death.

How do we make that choice? We want all our pain and suffering to go away but do we actually take that leap of faith? Do we say "Lord, I can't do this on my own, you take control."? We're stuck and fixated on wanting to do it on our own.

The cliché is "Fake it till you make it" but today I say "Faith it till you make it".
Why am I changing it?
Because the best way to turn a test into a testimony is to have faith in God and trust the Almighty to rule over your life. That way, not even death, has a say.

When Jesus spoke to the woman who touched His cloak in
Luke 8:48
"Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace."
He knew that power had left His body because of her intense belief and faith that she could be healed by simply touching His garment. There were thousands of people around but He only felt it when she touched Him.

Are you longing for just a touch? Do you want to experience God's love? Do you want to live a life that will reach many?
Take that leap of faith today.
Commit you life to the Lord. He's in control now.

A life never lived

Good day family,

Over the past few days, I've been challenged in the sense where I see so many people drifting along without a zest for what is so precious... LIFE.
I feel compelled to share this message with you.

Live each day as if you were to never see tomorrow. If you're not sure if someone knows you love them, tell them. If you miss someone, make that call or even go and visit that person. If you feel like no one has ever given any time to you, ask yourself if you have given any of your time to someone else.

See, we exist to make a difference and touch the lives of others so that they may know that there is a God. A God who loves them unconditionally. Others don't seem to care what you know until they know that you care. Reach out and touch someone's hand. Smile whilst greeting someone. Why is it that being polite and caring is so rare that people perceive one to have ulterior motives?

Spread the gift of love and I guarantee that in the end, you will live a full and purposeful life.
A life that will be remembered. Values that will be carried down from one generation to another.

Matthew 6:34 ESV          
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

We have all we need... and if you're reading this... you have a little extra. Would you share it and live a full life?

Jesus blessed you!

Be blessed in Jesus name.

One day a while back, a man, his heart heavy with grief, was walking in the woods. As he thought about his life this day, he knew many things were not right. He thought about those who had lied about him back when he had a job.



His thoughts turned to those who had stolen his things and cheated him. He remembered family that had passed on. His mind turned to the illness he had, that no one could cure. His very soul was filled with anger, resentment, and frustration.


Standing there this day, searching for answers he could not find, knowing all else had failed him, he knelt at the base of an old oak tree to seek the one he knew would always be there. And with tears in his eyes, he prayed:

'Lord- You have done wonderful things for me in this life. You have told me to do many things for you, and I happily obeyed. Today, you have told me to forgive. I am sad, Lord, because I cannot, I don't know how. It is not fair Lord, I didn't deserve these wrongs that were done against me and I shouldn't have to forgive. As perfect as your way is Lord, this one thing I cannot do, for I don't know how to forgive. My anger is so deep Lord, I fear I may not hear you, but I pray you teach me to do the one thing I cannot do: Teach me to forgive .'

As he knelt there in the quiet shade of that old oak tree, he felt something fall onto his shoulder. He opened his eyes. Out of the corner of one eye, he saw something red on his shirt. He could not turn to see what it was because where the oak tree had been was a large square piece of wood in the ground. He raised his head and saw two feet held to the wood with a large spike through them.

He raised his head more, and tears came to his eyes as he saw Jesus hanging on a cross. He saw spikes in His hands, a gash in His side, a torn and battered body, deep thorns sunk into His head. Finally he saw the suffering and pain on His precious face. As their eyes met, the man's tears turned to sobbing, and Jesus began to speak.

'Have you ever told a lie?' He asked?

The man answered - 'Yes, Lord.'

'Have you ever been given too much change and kept it?'

The man answered - 'Yes. Lord.' And the man sobbed more and more.

'Have you ever taken something from work that wasn't yours?' Jesus asked?

And the man answered, 'Yes, Lord.'

'Have you ever sworn, using my Father's name in vain?'

The man, crying now, answered - 'Yes, Lord.'

As Jesus asked many more times, 'Have you ever'? The man's crying became uncontrollable, for he could only answer - 'Yes, Lord'.

Then Jesus turned His head from one side to the other, and the man felt something fall on his other shoulder He looked and saw that it was the blood of Jesus. When he looked back up, his eyes met those of Jesus, and there was a look of love the man had never seen or known before.

Jesus said, 'I didn't deserve this either, but I forgive you.'

It may be hard to see how you're going to get through something, but when you look back in life, you realize how true this statement is.

Read the following first line slowly and let it sink in.

If God brings you to it - He will bring you through it.

When Jesus died on the cross, he was thinking of you!

Make your words count!

Good day Family,

A wise person once said "We should minister everyday but only sometimes should we speak", this saying has been echoing in my mind ever since I heard it. Far too often we choose to do all the talking and very seldom do we allow our actions to speak for us.

We get away with saying things and never putting them into practice but how long will it actually last before we're held accountable. This being said we can show our love, our strength, our belief, our faith through our actions.

Free At Last

"My chains are gone,

Family, Do you feel bogged down by aspects of your life? Can't seem to kick an addiction? Forever worrying about what is to come? Will I ever get anywhere in life? Surely I can't be a bad person?

I've got news for you... You're free. When Jesus hung on the cross, in the greatest love story ever told, the prisoner on His right mocked Him but the prisoner on His left asked Him to remember him... Jesus replied and said "Today, you will be with me in paradise."

When we realize just how unnecessary our stress and failure is, we see the mercy of God upon us.
The Bible says:

Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Your future has been determined but it's up to you to choose which path you would like to walk. Take that step today and say "Lord, forgive me for wanting to do things on my own. Today, I give you my life... I make you my Lord and Saviour."

Searching for God..

Good day family,

Why do we choose to search for God? Is He not around us, in everything He has created!!! The entire world that we live in was initially created in the image of God yet we choose not to accept it. Science keeps trying to prove it wrong but will never... Man keeps trying to ignore it, but for how long?!

Jeremiah 29:13 ESV        
You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart

Jeremiah 33:3 ESV         
Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.

Seeking God is merely, praying and talking to God. Have you spoken to Him lately? Were you genuine? What did you say? What did God say? Did you find truth?

Family, we are of one body, created in the image of God and when you seek Him, you realize that He's been there all along. Will you choose to be blind or will you choose to see the light?!

Live with purpose

Good afternoon family,

When you start each and everyday as if it were on purpose you will see the rewards of God's promise for your life. You wake up with faith, not for tomorrow, but for today. That faith sets your day in motion whereby you don't simply sit back and wait for things to happen but rather you're on your way to where God says it's happening.

You unconsciously act in a positive nature and influence the world around. So much so that you're noticed without being blunt, rude or abrupt. It's a decision you make based on the gift of choice that the Almighty has given us.

Start each day as if it were on purpose and listen to that voice within... It's a God-breathed conscience leading you to the destination you should be going to.

"Many plans are in a man's mind, but it is the Lord's purpose for him that will stand." - Proverbs 19: 21

The End Result

Good day Family,

Why do we continuously focus on the negative situations in our lives?! We keep saying things like:
- My Life is a mess
- I'm not going to make it through today
- My job isn't pleasant
- I'll never find the right person

Why?! Why?! Why?!

Stop this...

We need to focus on the end result as opposed to what is actually happening in our lives now. Think of eternity and what God has promised you and then you can prepare and prioritize what is ultimately important and what is not.

Get your head in the game and see what really matters... Having valuable things doesn't make you valuable. It only makes you rich. We are on borrowed time family and it's about time we make the wrongs, right. Set out to be better, do better, feel better... Each day you become one step closer by establishing a change in you mindset.

*Meditate on John 8:41-50*

This will place clear indication that we are not living for us but rather we are living for what God intended for us.

Shower season

Good day family,

Are you ready? Do you feel like all you've been coming into contact with has been negative?
A question I get asked frequently is why does bad things happen to good people? Well, the answer is simply... So that the work of God may manifest through you!

Your time is now. You will achieve greatness. You will be successful. You will be rewarded for your hard labour. Get ready... It's your season. It's time for the Almighty to bless you abundantly. Your time is NOW!

Go and be great for in you is greatness.
God has loved you from the very moment He created you. Shine. Shine for Him. Shine so that the lost will find their way home.

Monitoring and Measuring

Good day Family,

How many of us actually take stock of our lives? We set out goals but do we really monitor our progress, if any, over a period of time? If we don't do this, how will we know that we are on the right track, let alone the right direction?!

It's very important for us to grow as we age here on earth. Building character is essential in the growth process.

Genesis 1:27 says "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."

Subsequently, we are accountable to make and be the reason in ensuring a better world for all to live in. Do your bit and assist others in their growth process and all things in God's virtue shall be yours.

Faith without works

 Good day Family,

One of the most exciting experiences occur when you step out into faith... See the holy spirit dwells in all of us, both believers and non-believers alike. The only difference is that in a non-believer, the holy spirit is imprisoned.

I'm going to let that sink in...

For the holy spirit to take its rghtful place in your like you have to acceot Jesus Christ as yur Lord and Saviour. That is an act of faith and subseuently it releases the power of a supenatural life.

Stepping out into faith simply means that you allow God to use you to perform his duties in your everyday life... Woah.... Did you get that?  He is going to use you to perform His work... But wait... There's more... He's going to bless you with joys and success in abundance.

What? Bless me? Just for doing His work?

YES!

God loved you so much that He sent His only son to die for you to save you and grant you eternal life. That's the greatest love of all. Breathtaking love that will never be repaid and yet still that's what He went and did for you and I.

Always remeber that faith without works is dead. You have to take risks with regard to your potential to truly experience the magnitude of God. Inexplainable joy will possess you being and catapolt you into the rhelm of success.

The Soul Knows

Good day family,

Parents, when will you learn to stop babying your kids and remember that discipline in a Godly manner is more than OK to teach them right from wrong? Children when will you stop behaving in an improper manner and execute conduct that is not only respectable but endearing and God fearing?

The world tells kids that times have changed so the principles their parents teach them won't be of any value to them. What rubbish?! Respect and obedience has gone out of the window or is so scarce that we are dumbstruck when we actually experience it.

We as people of a constantly changing world need to understand that when you raise a child in the ways of the Lord, when they grow old, they will never depart. Belief in God, as well as, self-belief is essential in everyone`s life irrespective their age or gender.

Wake up people. See what the eye doesn't see, experience what the soul only knows and forever seek to instill a positive difference in not only your life but the lives around you.

May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all, now and forever more.

Control without being in control

Good day Family,

 

How many of you have been faced with such a trying situation that you didn't know which way to turn or where to go? Trapped? Cornered? Worried? Robbed of your joy?

 Do you know that the manner you feel is a choice? You allow yourself to feel that way. Why do we choose to do it all on our own when we have God who is waiting to help you and I, if we just step out in faith and commit it all to Him.

 

I personally found a greater purpose and blessing bestowed upon me when I let go and let God take control. My life seemed to pan out for the better without me even stressing about the outcome because the One who planned it all will only provide absolute blessings for my life.

 

One and all, try it... Release it all. Allow the Alpha and Omega to take control of your life and let Him guide your path. I will be praying for you every step of the way.

Treatment

Good morning Family,

How do you treat people? Are you polite towards them? Do you ignore people? What makes you react the way you do to people?

It's remarkable how we as people would love to be treated as kings or queens yet we still treat others as simple pawns in chess game. Is that right? Is that fair?

We live in a society where the amazing waiters/waitresses that work at classy restaurants, can't afford to eat there... People who work in the big cities and posh areas, can't afford to stay there... but yet we still treat them like "pawns". Is that right? Is that fair?

Luke 6:31 

"And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them."

The point I'm trying to make here is that we should all strive at treating others with utmost respect and integrity, as they too, are children of God. They are no different from you and I. I often say this to people, "Money didn't change the world! It changed people who then went on and allowed it to affect their world."

Think before you act and always consider the needs of others before your own.

God's Calling!

Good day family,

*Ring ring ring* The image of God appears on your phone, Will you answer? Will you let it go to voicemail? What will you say if you do answer? What will God say to you if you answer?

Family, every single day, in ever single circumstance, God is calling out to you... He's asking you to do something for Him. What is He asking you to do, you may ask?! The little things in life with all the power and might that He has placed within you.

Have you seen a child on the side of the road crying? How many people actually stop and say "What's wrong? Is everything ok?" ... Very few of us actually listen when we're told to do something, especially when it is a message that comes from the God, Most High.

John 21: 15-17
"When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.” 16 He said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.” 17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep."

When God speaks, listen! Don't lose out on the true meaning of life. Reach out when needed. Observe and learn when not. It could even happen when you're on a aeroplane or bus, seated next to someone you don't know... God may say "speak to the person next to you." DO IT! You may learn more from that person beside you than you could've ever possibly taught them.

Persistence Pays

Good day Family,

Job 2:3 “The Lord said to satan, ‘Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; He is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil. And still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason ’”

Did you ever stop to think what would happen if you continue to live an upright life?! What will come of you if you do what is said by God?! Where will you end up when it’s all said and done?!

The answer is simple… The kingdom of Heaven will belong to you. The Lord will pour out His blessing upon you and catapult you further and faster… Why doesn't this happen instantaneously you may ask?! Well, because the Lord our God has given you the necessary tools to achieve what is great and He will be with you every step of the way but you have to undergo the process of discipline and righteousness.

This is the kinda stuff that leaders are made of. Ask any successful person around you… they weren't handed anything without putting in the effort and giving it their all. The remedy for success is screaming at us daily, PERSISTENCE!

Go the extra mile and work twice as hard as everyone around you. Remain focused on your goals, ambitions and dreams and don’t stop until you get there… in fact don’t ever stop. Dream a new dream, set a new goal, and keep on reaching more and more people… Let God’s light in you shine.

Speak it into life!

Good morning family,

The bible says:

Mark 11:22-24

And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Speaking power and victory over your life is essential in your journey with God. It shows faith and releases blessings upon your existence. I've said this time and time again, merely existing is not what we were designed for. We were created to excel and achieve beyond measure in order to reach the nations.

Whatever may be dwelling in your heart... A goal, a dream, a virtue... Release it by speaking the claim of victory over it in your everyday life. What you say today, will birth tomorrow! Did you get that?! What you say today, will birth tomorrow!

Live in abundance by speaking the right words over your life and always remember...

Camera of life

Good day family,

I'm quite sure each and every one of you have seen or held a camera at some point in you life, Right?! Right! So let's see just exactly what the camera tells us about life.

When you look through the lens, what do you see? Only the things you are focused on... The external features and people on either side don't really seem to matter when you're focused on what you want to capture. That very process eliminates doubt and keeps you focused.

Many years ago cameras didn't have memory cards, they had a film... Pictures would be taken and stored on a film. The pictures on the film were called "Negatives". In order for the negatives to become pictures, they would have to be developed. The process of developing these negatives would be to have the film in a dark room and a light from above would transform the film into images on photo-paper. So too when life gives you negatives, the light from above, which is God, will help you develop your negative into a beautiful and breathtaking image.

In every situation there's something to be learnt and something positive that will come out of it provided your lens isn't out of focus. Always aim to zoom in on life and get a closer look before you take that shot. But, if in the event you don't like the outcome of the image, simply regroup and take another shot.

Goodbye 2013, Hello 2014!!!
A new year, a fresh start... Out with the old and in with the new!
New opportunities, new beginnings and certainly a brighter future.

How many of us truly understand the meaning of the word 'NEW' though?!

The Adjective means: "produced, introduced, or discovered recently or now for the first time; not existing before." 

Isn't that something?! You get another opportunity to re-create a better life for yourself and those around you... The possibilities are endless if you just believe. You've got to program your mind into positive thinking and eliminate the doubts, can'ts, won'ts and shouldn't s...

The only person responsible for the outcome of your life is you. When you say "I won't make it", you've already defeated yourself. That, to me, will never ever get you where you want to be. Do what you love doing, put God first and always endeavor to make a positive difference in the lives around you and come December 2014, you will be smiling. You will have grown, you will have been the difference.
