Different plan

Good morning family,

I received an email this morning of a daily word... this was it:

Today's Scripture:

"In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps."
Proverbs 16:9, NIV

Today's Word:

Have you ever tried something and got the results you wanted and then tried the same thing again and got different results? This happened to Moses in the Bible. They needed water and God told Moses to strike the rock. He struck the rock and water flowed out freely. Another time they needed water again, and God told Moses, “Speak to the rock.” Do you know what Moses did? He went over and struck the rock. He thought, “Hey, it worked last time. It’ll work this time.” But it didn’t. God had a different plan.

The point is that we have to stay open and make adjustments to stay in tune with God’s plan. You can do the same thing the same way you did last time and get different results. It may not be something major, but like Moses, maybe it’s just something small. Sometimes a small tweak, a small adjustment can make a major difference in the outcome.

Today, make sure you aren’t doing things just because it’s the way you always did it before. Instead, listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit of God inside. Follow His leading and stay in sync with the wonderful plan He has for you!

Prayer for Today:

"Heavenly Father, I submit my mind, will and heart to You. Help me to see clearly what Your plan is for me. Help me to stay close to You always, not living in the past, but pressing forward to the new things You have in store for me in Jesus’ name. Amen."

Don't be a hypocrite!

Good day Family,

This being the third day of Holy Week (Passion Week), we look at how Jesus warns the Pharisees of their hypocrisy.

What can we learn from what is happening in this scenario?!
Well, there are two very important points:

1. We ourselves should not become hypocrites
2. We should always assist another who acts with hypocrisy.

If you are some who gambles, why warn another about gambling?! Get your own life in order before you tell others of the dangers.
If you are a smoker, drinker, drug addict... Sort yourself out before you can tell others of the risks involved.

Here we stand trying to find our place in the world but we choose to allow our egos to precede the truth. The truth is Jesus loves both you and I and we will assist us in our atonement should we allow Him.
There is no situation to tough for our Mighty God. He will set us free and grant us the strength and wisdom to makes things right in our life.

Let the lesson linger in your minds and allow the teaching to mold you.

Sit and wait or stand and be heard?!

Read the following scripture:

James 2:14-26New King James Version (NKJV)Faith Without Works Is Dead14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

We spend our lives waiting on something to happen and when it doesn't happen we moan and groan as to why it didn't. Surely we need to come to terms with the fact that we need to moving so that God can direct our footsteps.

Little things like getting to work on time, sharing a positive story to uplift another or even helping your fellow brother and sisters out. If we take care of our actions and do the little things right, how much more will God bless us. 

Sadly we wait until it's too late before we realize what we have to do. Life does get busy and cramped but we need to make time for the important things.
